Meeting Agenda

1. Call to Order
   • In Attendance: Bob Shuttleworth, Weigang Zhong, Russ Halper, Jeff Heath, Aaron Lott

1. Change name on checking account
   • Weigang and Bob will handle this.
2. Renew GSG-registered student group
   • Russ will take care of this. GSG location is on the 3rd floor in Union
3. Fall Events
1. GSG Meeting
   • Jeff and Russ will attend.
2. SIAM Funding
   • Last year applied for $400. Was unused. This year we will apply for $500 to assist in funding the new AMSC student seminar.
3. Welcome back event
   • Considering having a cookout or picnic near the Math Building.
4. Weekly Student Talk
   • Worked out time for meeting and listed names of possible speakers. Discussed the outline of the talk. Two twenty minute talks. Times should not conflict with major courses, and should be in the afternoon. Hope Mondays 2:30-3:30 will be available in MATH 3206. Will seek funding from AMSC and SIAM to have food prior to the talks.
5. Mentees
   • Bob will send out an e-mail to mentees to make sure things are going well and that they are in contact with their mentors.
