    1. Initiatives
    2. AMSC Student Seminar - Today first meeting. Need to get more participation from 2nd and 3rd year students.
    3. AMSC Student Resources - Wiki up. All students have access to login and add/modify new content.
    4. Graduation Conference - Scheduled for May 2 which is after the dissertation submission deadline to get more involvement. Applied for SIAM funding. Math Department will support the conference currently agreed to $800. Seeking GSG funding. This year we will add a poster session that will have prizes. Math Department will pay for printing of posters. Working with Spotlight Organizers to get rooms. Currently have 3206 all day. Trying to secure 1310 and 1311 all day. Working with Baltimore Washington SIAM chapter to have their spring lecture the evening of the conference, and have members attend the conference.
    5. Orientation/Mentoring - Orientation a success thanks to all the mentors who have been helping incomings students.
      Funding
    1. AMSC - AMSC is covering the Pizza cost for the student seminar until we can get SIAM funding secured.
    2. SIAM - Submitted funding documents to SIAM. Requesting $500 for this academic year. Will know by the end of October.
    3. GSG - Prashant is applying for $700.
    New Business
    1. Proposal for merging candiacy prospectus and dissertation prospectus. Mike O'Hara
    2. Numerical Analysis Field Committee is considering a course based qualifying exam with an oral examination. Would this perhaps interest more students?
