Graduation Conference Meeting Agenda

    1. Date Scheduled - May 2

  3. New Business
    1. Budget - Keep track of all expenses. Work with Lori McKay and To Ahn Chung on purchases. Submit a report to SIAM, GSG and Yorke. Include spotlight, posters, travel, food, flyers. Currently received funding from MATH $800, SIAM $200 and GSG $500.
    2. Poster Session - Get price for hard back posters. Coordinate purchase order with To Ahn. Get judges, get easels from ISR (Becky Copeland 5-6602). Get participants grad students and undergrads.
    3. Talk Sessions - Organize talk schedule, Session Chairs. Get Keynote Lecture and Panel Members (Talk to Ioannis for SIAM members, BIGSIGMA). (Panel Directed towards next year's senior students. How to prepare for the job market.)
    4. Printing - Create and distribute flyers. Send invitation to graduating MATH, STAT, AMSC, MAIT and Undergrads. Inform professors about the conference and ask them to get their students involved (talks and poster session). Send mailout to Balt-Wash SIAM chapter inviting members to attend. (Sponsors: Monroe Martin Fund, Seymour Goldberg Fund, MATH, SIAM, GSG). Conference Booklet.
    5. Tech - Manage website information, post abstracts, panel notes etc. , Reserve Cart and Projectors.
    6. Food - Coordinate Breakfast, Tea and Lunch. Keep spreadsheet updated, work with budget committee to purchase items, setup clean-up (recruit volunteers and student workers).
