My company is currently looking for someone with a graduate degree in physics, applied mathematics, engineering, or closely related field that has experience in numerical modeling and simulation and has a strong computer background (C, C++, or Java). Our technical staff has 32 Ph.D.s, 7 masters, and 9 bachelors. We are involved in, among other things,
1) Extending mathematics for detection theory on random graphs, patterns, and sparse categorical data.
2) Physical modeling including acoustic, electro-optic, and RF
3) Data fusion for detection and tracking
4) Command and control modeling and simulations for mine warfare, small boat swarm, anti-terrorism and force protection, etc.
The work at Metron is challenging and the people are very helpful and engaging.
