AMSC Academic Program

AMSC offers academic programs that lead to either an M.S. or a Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics, Applied Statistics and Scientific Computation. The M.S. degree may be earned either with or without a thesis.

The AMSC Program also offers an academic program that leads to a graduate certificate in Scientific Computation for students who obtain degrees from certain other graduate programs at the University of Maryland, College Park.

Note on 400 Level Courses

AMSC students are strongly discouraged from taking 400 level courses. If a student wishes to take a 400 level-course, he or she should consult the graduate director.
